Environmental issues are increasingly important to society. To meet these challenges (reaching net-zero; remediating pollution; etc.) understanding Earth systems is necessary. However, Earth sciences/geology is rarely identified within schools. This session highlights examples of developing Earth sciences understanding and discussions of how Earth sciences provides a context for scientific understanding.
